Pocketful of Claptonite @ ifArt Gallery, November 21

bigSphinx Productions is delighted to reveal its intention to present Athens improvisation ensemble Pocketful of Claptonite, at ifArt Gallery on November 21. Pocketful of Claptonite consists of Killick! on h'arpeggione, Darrin Glenn Cook on double bass, and Jamie Derevere on drums/percussion. Pocketful of Claptonite is known far and wide as "Athens, Georgia's Only '70s Canadian Power Trio". They are not known to play anything resembling Clapton covers.

Killick! was last spotted locally in the form of a Shaking Ray Levi, opening for Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. He has also performed with such luminaries as Larry Ochs, Habib Koite, and Jessica Pavone. It is said that he performs in the musical style of "Appalachian Trance Metal".

These are all advanced concepts that cannot be accurately conveyed by mere words, but must be experienced in person, and absorbed accordingly. No prior training or instruction is necessary.

The concert is scheduled to commence at 8:00 PM, and the door will be flung open at 7:30. Tickets will be sold at this door for a mere $6. As always, attendance is mandatory. This concert will take place in the magnificent ifArt Gallery at 1223 Lincoln Street. (Thanks to the magnificent Wim Roefs!)

Further information can be obtained on the World Wide Web at www.bigsphinx.com or www.killick.me, or by using a telephone to dial (803) 957-5565.
